Domhnall McCullough - Beloved Homelands

This collection of photos are from the journeys I have taken throughout COVID as we have been confined to only travelling within Ireland. I find most people have struggled with not having their sunny beachside holidays. But I have spent this time truly growing to appreciate and discovering Ireland and the beauty it has to offer although often seen as a mundane cold landscape. That is special and beautiful in its own way. This also makes you really appreciate the few stone splitting days that we get. Travelling through mysterious rock formations seeming almost as outer world landscapes or through the dead acres of lawless bog lands, Or swimming in body clenching cold rivers as you watch the beautiful birds fly through the gorges. I love how the colours and beauty changes through each day as each day has something special to show or to take shots of as the lighting and weather is constantly changing in this beautiful country.
